HUZZAH the podcast returns and so does the show's one and only guest to date, fellow aspiring comic John Speirs. We sat, we talked, we laughed, you may not do any of these things during this episode. In it we look at how our attempts to get into the comedy world are going and some of the problems we have faced. Oh, and there are a number of tangents, a great number of them. Never has a foreskin provided such entertainment.

It's back! Yes! Well kind of. It's been a while but Big Red's Fun Bus podcast is here again with a special of sorts. While cleaning out my old shoebox collection (current count: 2) I found an old cassette tape. On that tape was something so momentous it had to be shared with the world. For on that tape was the last known recordings of bits of the original university radio version of Big Red's Fun Bus from the far off, happy time of 2006. The quality is rough, both the quality of the recording and the quality of the actual material, and a lot of it is examples of how I learned to use the radio equipment while also broadcasting live. But in there, somewhere, is the seed. That seed grew into the slightly less rough podcast, the slightly less rough live performances. That seed is being presented now, for you. Savour the lame sketches, idle chit chat based on what I read in the papers that day, and banter provided by my friends John Speirs and Andy Walker that takes in such delights as dinosaurs neck storage problems and some new thing called "Google Earth".

Hello and welcome to another new Big Red's Fun Bus podcast. Doing another wee experiment this time by mixing solo rants with some sketches.

Welcome to the first part of the first episode of the second volume of Big Red's Fun Bus, or Episode 11 Part 1 if you will. Look on the previous ten episodes, or what is now being called by me at least Volume 1, as an extended, really drawn out pilot show. Well this is the first bit of the second pilot. Instead of sketches this features myself chatting with good friend and fellow comic John Speirs about lots of random things, for a very long time, hence this being split in two. Why pilots? Because the future plans for Big Red's Fun Bus is for the show to be a combination of both of these forms in an exciting, new format that's been done many times already no doubt.

Anyway, in this part we talk about the Pope's visit to Scotland, said country's inability to play football, Twilight's many failings, Mario turning 25, and dodgy haircuts. There's probably some other stuff too.

The football (soccer to those who prefer football to be played with your hands) is in full swing in South Africa and as per usual the games are mince, the punditry awful and Scotland aren't there.

Well we're all stuffed with turkey, unless you're one of those weirdos that eats salmon for Xmas dinner, and ready now to get this tinsel-filled sell-fest over with. But first let's catch up with all our favourite Xmas characters such as Santa, Rudolph, er...Santa and Noddy Holder.
